Sinead Fox

Sinéad Fox

Sinéad Fox studied at UCA, Farnham and at Camberwell School Of Art and now works from the idyllic surroundings of her studio at Pierrepont Farm's Old Dairy in Frensham.

Sinéad works across a variety of mediums. Her graphic design degree is most evident in her collage work, playing with shapes and colour to make playful compositions. Collage is often the starting point of a new body of work and Sinead sees it as a form of sketch or drawing. Elements then transfer into her paintings and drawings in which a common thread is her use of colour.

Sinéad says “I am hugely inspired by Nina’s home and garden and over the last year I have explored the theme of plants and created this series of still life paintings.  It has been interesting to see how these pieces have taken elements of my more abstract pieces.”

Sinéad’s ongoing collection “Accidental Landscapes” explores the power of the humble daydream and our internal archive of happy memories.  The work aims to capture the emotions of revisiting a moment in time, even fleetingly.  More than anything, these pieces celebrate the simple and universal beauty of happiness and these two were created as a study of the recent seasons.
